The role of local government in promoting legal security is considered a significant topic due to the crucial importance of legal security in ensuring national stability. The role of the state is no longer limited to traditional functions such as defense, the administration of justice, and foreign policy; instead, it has expanded considerably. The state is now responsible for addressing many challenges, which has necessitated the delegation of some powers from the central authority to local governments. Increasingly, experts are convinced that local governments represent an effective tool for the development of local communities. Accordingly, this research will examine the role of local government in promoting legal security by analyzing the mechanisms it adopts to ensure the enhancement of legal security, its role in fostering trust between citizens and institutions, and its contribution to building a secure and stable society. The study will also address the challenges local governments face in achieving this goal and explore ways to enhance their effectiveness in this field
