The right to equality is the basic constitutional principle on which all rights and freedoms are based at the present time, and which tops all declarations of universal rights and constitutional charters. Article 1 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states (All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights) and Article 2 thereof (Everyone is entitled to enjoy all the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration, without any discrimination such as race, color, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status, without any distinction between men and women). Legal security is one of the guarantees that ensure the protection of human rights and freedoms, including the right to equality. The right to equality is also a guarantee of the guarantees that achieve legal security and a basic pillar for its existence, like other guarantees such as the non-retroactivity of laws to the past.
